# Snag

> Snag is a bug tracking tool for product teams. A bug is filed from the page where it happened, with the screenshot, console errors, network requests and recent clicks attached automatically, then triaged, fixed and verified on a shared board. AI agents such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor can read, file and update bugs over MCP. Made by The Product Highway (https://theproducthighway.com/).

## For AI agents (MCP)

Snag runs an MCP server at https://api.testfinch.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Sign in with OAuth 2.1 when the client prompts, or send a Snag personal access token as `Authorization: Bearer snag_pat_...` for CI and scripts. The agent acts as the signed-in user, with that user's role and project access.

Tools (the list is filtered by role and token scope):

- Read (everyone, including read-only tokens): `search`, `get` (a bug with its console errors, network requests, clicks, comments, activity and up to 5 screenshots), `list_projects`, `get_board`.
- Report (reporters and up): `create`, `comment`, `verify_fix`.
- Triage (members and admins): `triage`, `update`, `mark_duplicate`, `manage_release`.

Connect from Claude Code:

    claude mcp add --transport http snag https://api.testfinch.com/mcp

Connect from a client that takes a JSON config (for example Cursor):

    { "mcpServers": { "snag": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://api.testfinch.com/mcp"] } } }

In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add a custom connector with the server URL above.

## What it does

- Chrome extension: files a bug from any web page with a screenshot, a region, the full page or up to 90 seconds of screen recording, plus console errors, network requests and recent clicks. The title is suggested from the first console error.
- Android and iOS apps: share a screenshot or screen recording from any app into Snag. Android is on Google Play; iOS is in TestFlight beta.
- Board: every report lands in an inbox; set severity, release, labels and assignee, and move it through Triaged, In progress, Fixed, Verified and Closed. Likely duplicates are flagged.
- Verification: the reporter can confirm a fix before the bug is closed.
- Workspaces and roles: admins, members, and reporters (for example client testers) who can be limited to one project.
- Integrations: Slack, ClickUp, Sentry and webhooks.
